Adjuster's Notes:
The fire was concentrated in the under portion of the cab and destroyed the cab assembly. There were some fire related damages to the supporting wiring and hoses but the majority of the driveline is intact.
There were significant improvements in 2017. The under carriage was worked in the spring. They had another Caterpillar machine with mechanical failures and the carriage on that unit was transferred to this machine. The unit is equipped with a single shank ripper, serial number BRT01201. The blade is a modified U bearing serial number MU85773. That unit is showing a production date of July of 2012.
There is machinery there to assist in loading of the unit. It is accessible by a low boy truck. This is an active mine site, thus, there are certain requirements in connection with ingress and egress of trucks going in and out of the mine.
