According to news accounts the vehicle was stolen. Once discovered by the police, a high speed chase ensued where the Sprinter drove through a 2 police car blockade at high speed, and finally the suspect was apprehended while trying to drive on railroad tracks.
Photos attached. The bumper is destroyed, the radiator support is cracked but there is no obvious heat exchanger damage, the DEF tank is ruined as well as the RH fender, door mirror & glass, driver door glass, wheelhouse liners. No noted undercarriage damage.
