Additional Comments
3 outdoor condensing units were in transit to a distribution center and damaged by foreign object impact. Visual inspection identified significant damage to the exterior panels, structural frame, fan blades and fan guards. Portions of the condenser coils were bent and compressed, this level of mechanical damage significantly reduced heat‑transfer surface area, restricts airflow across the coil, and compromises the integrity of the refrigerant tubing. Multiple visible breaches were present in the refrigerant piping, attributing to the units being void of refrigerant. Electrical components, including the control board, contactors, and capacitors, were found displaced from their designated mounting positions, and physical damage was confirmed.
