HIDDEN DAMGES ARE POSSIBLE " UNIT SOLD AS IS'
Upon inspection, no visible exterior damage
was found that directly confirmed the reported lightning strike, and the visible wiring
appeared to be in good condition with no obvious signs of burning, melting, or arcing.
However, lightning-related damage can occur through an electrical surge or voltage spike
that travels through the vehicle’s electrical system without leaving readily visible exterior
damage. Modern tractor units rely heavily on interconnected electronic control modules,
sensors, wiring harnesses, and communication networks, and a surge event may affect one
or more components internally even when the harnesses and exterior connectors appear
intact. Several panels had been removed at the time of inspection, and the shop was still
performing diagnostic testing to determine the full extent of any electrical damage.
