Fire damage to engine, grinder unit, outfall conveyor, and main frame. CAT C18 engine. 3900 hours (unconfirmed). Serial: 1VR2390AXD1000317. Policy #: NPC-1006112-04. Fire was centered at and around the engine, including the hydraulics fluid system. Heavy build-up of debris found throughout the unit. Front of the CAT C18 engine was not burned, but the center rear was fully involved. Unit air compressor damaged. No failed fuel lines, hydraulic fluid lines or signs of any mechanical failure found. Loss site showed no signs of brush burn around the unit, not considered a ground fire loss. Debris fell through the unit onto the ground just below the unit. This was the only area of ground fire. Approx. estimated damages: $237,400.56. Approx. ACV: $231,563.00.
